Is there a way to move the data to a new phone, so I do not have to start over? Will there be any more development of this app?

What sort of idiot would write a mileage tracking app that doesnt allow you to tell it that you didnt fill the tank, but just put in five gallons? And heaven help you if you enter one of the fields incorrectly and dont notice until a fill-up or two later - youll never figure out how to manipulate this apps totally un-intuitive interface in order to get an accurate lifetime mileage number. There have to be far better alternatives out there - keep looking.

My phone needs to be restored from iCloud. Ive used carminder for several years now and had a lot of history of service and maintenance on 5 cars and a lawn tractor and work done on my kids cars. None of the data was stored in iCloud and I lost everything. Contacted app developers and no response. Dont waste your time with this app. Your data is not safe.

We have used this app for our 5 vehicles for several years and we love it! It keeps our important vehicle info, like mileage and dates, at our fingertips. It also gives you the ability to add customized service items. The app is very easy to use, taking only a few seconds to enter new info. By making sure that the app is backed up to iCloud, we have NEVER lost ANY data, and we have used it through 4 iPhone upgrades. We love this app!!

This is a great app. Easy to use. You can add multiple vehicles, set reminders, adjust the time or mileage between specific services. Highly recommend.

I use the app for tracking all my trucks maintenance. It would be great if it had the ability to expand into a trucker friendly maintenance app! But I make it work and use it often! Ive now had this app for about four years and recently had to replace my iPhone and was very unhappy that the information was not transferable. All of the information on my old phone was lost and now I am left without any of the data from the past four years. That seems like a complete failure for this App. Update..... 6/1/15 Its been about 5 years or so I think since I 1st started using this App. I use it almost every day to manage about 26 vehicles now from my summer car to my fleet of Big Trucks. I really wish it would update to my IPad...OR At least the ability to back up to the cloud..???

This is the best car maintenance app Ive tried! I do a lot of maintenance on my cars, motorcycle and family/friends cars. This allows me to easily keep track of any repair or maintenance I performed as well a log of gas mileage. I just wish it included a cost per mile calculation or something showing average price paid. At the moment the gas price we enter triggers nothing. I read some reviews saying it does not transfer to new phones. Thats simply not true. Ive had this app carry with me through 3 iPhone 5s and then to an iPhone 5S. You just need to backup your phone to a computer and then restore your new phone using that backup. Ive never had a problem doing it this way and have not had to re-type any data yet. Great app! I would just like to see some gas mileage data usage improvements.

It could only be better if it could synch up to multiple devices.

1. Cant delete scheduled maintenance. 2. Cant change mileage intervals for scheduled maintenance. 3. No presets from OEM when you put on make and model 4. If I change phones (to a droid for example), I have to re-type everything in. What if my phone crashes? Etc. this data needs to be portable. Could be much better.

I can easy keep track of car maintenance as well as a log on what I paid for said maintenance. It tracks it by days and miles which are adjustable. You can track multiple vehicles and customize which items you want to follow. The gas log is awesome too. I just wish the price it has you input was logged on a graph as well so you can easily see what you have been paying. You can look back on previous fill ups and look but its just not user friendly in doing so. If you sell the car you can email all your records to whoever you need to. I really would like the app to keep track of my cars worth and update it as it changes. That would be great.

Wont allow partial fill ups without updating MPG. Doesnt track/trend cost per gallon in any graphs or lifetime totals. Even though you enter it. Emailed developer and got no response.

I have been using this app religiously for over a year. Its not great, but its enough to help me track my maintenance schedule. There is room for much improvement. The Biggest thing and reason for my 1 star rating is there is absolutely no support and no way to transfer data to another iPhone. I am pretty much all in with this app because of all of the data collected, so I will be forced to re-enter over a years worth of data. I emailed the developer to ask if there was a work around and never received a response. UPDATE I once again had to restore my iphone and lost all my data. I finally caved in and purchased "Auto Care". I did not get the free version and am now able to back up my data to Dropbox. I do not like the interface as much as Car Minder, but its the tedious work of typing all that data I wont miss any more.

This is my favorite app. I keep all my fuel-ups and service info here. Easy to navigate & set reminders. Goes where I go.

I loved using this app until I realized there is no way to back up my info. So when I moved from an iPhone 5s to 6 I lost several years of car maintenance information. Maybe not a big deal except I need it for tax deductions. So unless I can recreate my records, I will have a big financial hit from this.

I really love this app, but its almost pointless to use it because if you need to print out any records you cannot. Ive had this for over a year now and it has ALWAYS crashes when I try to email the records. I have the latest iOS as well.

FYI: When I changed IPhones, I wont say upgrade, because I went from a borrowed phone to a phone that I purchased, so there wasnt an easy upgrade path. I downloaded the trial version of AnyTrans. Didnt pay a thing, but was able to copy over the Car Minder data after I installed Car Minder. Just a suggestion, Love Car Minder!!! PS: I also liked the old version that had a 3 month, 12 month & lifetime view of fuel economy.

Very useful app!! A lot less to remember about my car maintenance, just enter the scheduled info and car minder does the rest. Keep fuel information up to date and track mpg stats . Like this app very much

Im writing a 1 star review because this app is clunky. Notifications are hard to update. If you incorrectly I put gas mileage, it will never correct itself. I love this app, just wish it was refined

Great for gas mileage. Good for other maintenance.
