Car Minder Plus - Car Maintenance and Gas Log (MPG) App Reviews

This worked great for years on my iPhone 4. Then it glitched on the gas log-it would not update mileage. Ok, sent support request, never heard back, so lived with it. Switched to iPhone 6. NO data transferred when synced with iTunes. Again, support is silent.

It gets the job done. It doesnt seem like there are any better car maintenance log apps out there. I wish you could include photos in notes; it would be nice to be able to store transactions and receipts of services done.

Receiving notifications that I am over 2,000,000 miles overdue for services when I enter service records prior to current mileage.

I dont like to write bad reviews but I wanted to make everyone aware of this. The app is otherwise nicely designed but unfortunately not updated since 2014 which could be why there is no option to store your records in the cloud. During a resent iOS upgrade my car minder data got lost. I didnt discover this until months later without an option to try to recover from my backup. To be safe, look for other iphone apps to store your car records with cloud sync to avoid data loss.

Keeps telling me I am 1.7 million miles overdue for an oil change no matter what I put in as far as mileage. Wont sync properly either so I am afraid to reinstall.

It has all the necessary things youd imagine, oil, mpg log, repairs etc... I wish it had a reminder when my registration was due, and a service log for when my tires need replacing. Otherwise its great!

Wish it had a trial version. Turns out its not what I wanted or needed and I dont use it but ended up paying for it anyway.

Ive had this app for several years and I couldnt have been more happier with it. But recently Ive had problems with it. I recently purchased the iPhone 6S Plus and havent been able to send my records by email. I have sent the developers several emails and no one has responded. I would like to continue to use this app but I cant until they solve the problems with being able to download the records. Hopefully someone will resolve this problem.

only bad thing is i wish it got updated.

UPDATE: I have deleted this app and moved to another one. The app does not let you correct mileage mistakes if you make them. I accidentally entered a incorrect mileage at a fill-up, and this screwed up all the tracking of everything for my car. Then I find out that you cannot change or remove entries from the DB. This is HORRIBLE. All the time and effort tracking is wasted. All the scheduled maintenance is off and my MPG is 177,000 MPG because of the mistake! I will not use this app until they provide a way to fix mistakes.

Ive been using this app for a few years now and it has been perfect for what I need. I have tried similar apps in the past, but all have paled in comparison. That said, I upgraded my phone in Nov 2015 and lost all of my data (maintenance history, gas log, notes, everything). Perhaps I am naive, but it didnt even occur to me that this wasnt backing up to the cloud, which seems to be a standard practice for most apps these days. Unfortunately, Ill have to find a different maintenance app that can withstand the test of time...I simply cannot afford to re-enter my maintenance history every 2-3 years.

Been using this app now for quite a few years. Since this time the app has only seen one update that I can remember. If you are looking for a plain old Jane type of app this is it. However Id like to see more feature incorporated into this app like 1. The ability to take pictures of receipt. 2. Upload information thats input into the app by the user into a cloud storage so when your phone stops working or gets lost you can re-download the app and your data is uploaded to the app again. 3. Be able to generate reports into PDFs and have the ability to print them out.

Love it! Keeps all my info in 1 place.
