Car Minder Plus - Car Maintenance and Gas Log (MPG) App Reviews

With all the work and detail it takes to input car maintenance history, it is unthinkable that this app does not have its own backup option. Despite iTunes backup, its not too much to ask for a data entry heavy app like this to be able to make a simple backup export file for Dropbox or Copy or iCloud. Also the note section sometimes disappears. Great interface, but how many years can you milk a good start??? No update since 2014....come on guys!

Awesome way to keep track of car maintenance! I love it!

I find this an easy app to use. It tracks any information you care to enter about the maintenance of your vehicles. I think delivers exactly what it promises. On another note I would like higher contrast on items being entered. White font on light gray background is difficult to see in the Texas sun.

I like the simple interface but I wish you could put in repairs without an odometer reading and just by the date. Also on the repairs tab, when I try to enter the date, the month and year show but the day does not appear on the selector wheel.

Is there a way to move the data to a new phone, so I do not have to start over? Will there be any development of this app?

Great app. But badge notfications no longer appear since download of ios 8. Please update. Badges only show up after opening app. Please update.

Got new phone, backed up previous phone via iTunes, but after restoration was very dismayed my data was gone for this app! Completely USELESS if your data cannot survive a phone swap out! Stay away, it will break your heart.

This used to be a great app back when I had an iPhone 4 but it hasnt been updated in years and looks terrible on newer larger phones. Some of the menus dont even work properly because they were sized for a much smaller screen. The developer used to reply years ago but doesnt reply to emails anymore.

Adding maintenance logs is a chore. Have to add the milage for each individual service done even after the cars mileage is updated in the information tab. Doesnt estimate milage based off of driving trends. For example I drive about 25 miles per day. App should be able to estimate milage and provide me with a reminder instead of having to constantly manually enter the milage in order to get a reminder. Whats the point?

I used this regularly for my cars. I loved that it was simple and kept your maintenance organized with not much effort. But as soon as I upgrade my iPhone and iOS to the latest, every time I put in a fuel fill up, it makes my routine maintenance milage flip out and everything is 2k over due. Ive email support with no response. Ive tried everything to make it work but with no avail. Ill be looking for a new app. :(

Some screens unreadable since updating to iOS 9.2

IOS9 messed up the date field for inputting data.

I cant port my data to my new iPhone without manually typing NG everything in! Recommend export/import functionality to Dropbox or whatever. Looking for new app that does.

It was working fine at first. Then every time I tried to record maintenance, it tells me that I am 1.5 million miles overdue on the maintenance I just recorded. Is anyone else having problems with this?

I use this app everyday to track the fuel I use in my vehicle and also to keep track of the repairs. I only use this app because I cant find a better one to do these tasks. The app is no frills and really could use some pretty important improvements such as: 1. Need to be able to sort the repairs and fuel by date! It stupidly sorts by date input and no way to change this. 2. Need a way to import PDF backups of receipts and/or invoices from fuel and repairs to your vehicle. This for me is a huge drawback because what good is keeping track of repairs if you dont have your service tickets backed up too? 3. No way to store info in cloud, everything is local. 4. If you miss or forget to log a fuel fill up, the app isnt smart enough to recognize this and the avg miles per gallon get all out of whack. You cant go in and correct this because the app uses current mileage to track. So once you miss one, youre out of luck. 5. Need more default repair/maintenance categories. But like I said, I use it everyday. But its lacking and needs to add some features.

Wont sync with other devices so no way to have other drivers input gas entry.

I really appreciate this App!! No more little book in the glove compartment to keep track of gas mileage, maintenance, and repairs. Its all managed in this one little App. Cant think of a thing I would change. Its perfect for my needs!

One of the best maintenance apps Ive used. Its easy and simple to use and offers more than just mpg. To the developers, update app to integrate photos from our camera roll so I can take pictures of my receipts for proof of maintenance records.

Great app. Been used be for years for my vehicles both car and motorcycle. Just added my home to it so we can maintain the house regularly and this app will help us divide the tasks by season. Great app, highly recommend, but would like an update to allow everyone one in the family to share/see the checklists.
